Trying to use the apache server on my quickbox box

When I try to access the html dir (e.g. http://ipaddress/index.html) for files stored in /var/www/html/

I get the following error…

Not Found

The requested URL /index.html was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.10 (Debian) Server at ipaddress Port 443

So I know apache is working… but wont see the files. Ive tried to chmod them and also tried a chown to different user. no luck

go look at the apache config files. document root is here:
DocumentRoot /srv/rutorrent/home/
