ok so if I’m root I get tab completion and arrow keys bring up previous commands. other users it’s a basic prompt… how do i fix this…
next problem is that in the control panel my hard drive space isn’t listed. I’ve tried setquota

sudo su fix-disk_widget_home
Unless you got more then 1 user you won’t need quota. So go ahead and uninstall it

disk space works perfectly now.
I’m still trying to get tab command etc how i want it tho. I’ve copied the bashrc from root to my home dir so i can have the same settings and it still has the same old basic prompt and no tab complete/arrow keys
