I run quickbox in a VM on a host Windows machine and have a mounted cifs share. I have write access to the cifs share, but rutorrent won’t let me put the path in- it just erases it (for default save locaiton and autotools stuff). and replaces it with /home/$qb_user/etc. I can’t get it to accept anything outside of /home/$qb_user
you could mount your cifs share under your /home/$qb_user/. Have you tried that?
