Do you get any access to root with Online.net?
By Default Online.net installations block root logins directly. However, once your server is installed you can type sudo su to get root access.
You can also change
PermitRootLogin
To yes in /etc/ssh/sshd_config and restart ssh (service sshd restart). Though it is not entirely recommended for the security of your server
