Receiving error when setting up Quickbox

fatal: unable to access ‘https://github.com/QuickBox/QuickBox/’: Could not resolve host: github.com

I do not have a proxy running on the server

Any help is appreciated.

It’s having issues looking up github.com. This is a DNS issue. Resolve this and it should work.

Who is the provider?
What’s in /etc/resolv.conf ?

when you try to ping github.com you should get a response from 192.30.253.113

if not, try pinging 192.30.253.113 directly

if that works, you can just add github.com to your hosts file

Ok, so that seemed to work and allowed me to install, but now I get

.du.sh: line 8: bc: command not found

And the dashboard is not pulling up on my ip.

Thanks for the help! Any thoughts

What is the output of uname -a?

Linux crimson 4.4.0-36-generic #55-Ubuntu SMP Thu Aug 11 18:01:55 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
/home/showers/.du.sh: line 8: bc: command not found

probably needs to install bc:
sudo apt install bc

receive this

Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
E: Unable to locate package bc
/home/showers/.du.sh: line 8: bc: command not found

@JMSolo, I put in for a guru install last night if you want to get on there and see what you can do.

I think you still have a DNS issue. You’re not finding the ubuntu repos.

Please check your PM from @dtech_banned. The credentials you provided us for logging into your server are invalid.

I replied this morning, fyi, i received their email, but cannot access it on this site???

If you replied by email we do not monitor that email as it is used strictly for processing emails. Please reply to the PM here on the site.

You can’t access the PM that was sent to you?

Correct, only the email. weird.

This is because we were replying to your @ednagrinch user and not this @ednagrinch1. Looks like you have 2 accounts on the forums. I have redirected your PM to the account you are using.

Oh, dont remember making two accounts, anyway, thanks.
