From time to time I’ve seen posts from people having issues installing/running QB, or just simply in doubt about what to get - both here on the lovely Plaza and various other forums and Reddit.
I am aware that users of QB spans from absolute first-time Seedbox users, to deadly skilled gurus. However it could be pretty awesome to have some approved/verified boxes that have been tested and approved by QB staff, some of the gurus or selected community members.
The main criteria for a QB Approved box, should be that it can be installed and performs without any need for tweaking or advanced changes (beside configuring raid if needed).
It could be as simple as a list here on the Plaza eg;
Provider: Hetzner
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1271V3
RAM: 32G
HDD: 2x4TB
QB: OK
PLEX: OK
This would cover a good few of the standard questions I’ve come across: “Will this server run QuickBox without problems?”, “Will I be able to use this server for Plex?”.
I’m not sure about the format, the criterias etc. But if there is a need for something like this, I’d be happy to partake in the discussion.
