Python 2.7 needed for some trackers

python

Hi,

I’m an old-elite user in all high-level trackers. In the past, for some trackers, I used very useful scripts/softwares created to automate the process of uploading stuff to the tracker. These are (for example) PtPUploader (for PTP tracker) or WhatBetter and WhatManager (for What.cd). If you need I can post the GitHub links to these script/soft.

Unfortunately they require the use of Python2.7. How do I install Python2.7 (2.7.12) and tell these programs to use it as an interpreter?

What version of python are you using?

I’m using 2.7:
python -V
Python 2.7.12

OK…I’m very stupid.

I have installed Ubuntu 16 and I was sure that this version of Ubuntu comes with Python 3 by default. You are right, I have 2.7.12.

This is VERY embarassing…sorry!!
