Hello, I got a really good deal on a OVZ VPS, 400GB HDD, 4GB RAM, 4x2,66Ghz and 10tb traffic on 1gbps for 38 EUR annually.

My only issue is that it does not have anything newer than Ubuntu 14.04. So if I pay for a install can you maybe install a newer version of Ubuntu also?

I would say it can’t be done. You share the kernel with the host. Ask your provider to update the host to something more modern first. Something with 4.x kernel
