I have fresh installed QB Pro on a Ubuntu 18.04 VPS server and gets High CPU loading problem.
CPU load above 60% and tail -f /var/log/syslog output endless message.
please help!
Is the CPU load only hitting that on the System Index page? Or are you consistently seeing high loads? Are there any other applications running?
As per the syslog, it’s nohup from the qbnetwork service file writing out. I have heard a couple of reports in regards to this and aside from turning the syslog service off, I am looking into having the nohup values not post out to syslog.
The sed expression fail on the installer can more than likely be ignored safely, but I’ll ask; did you use any special characters in your username? Wrap the username or password values in back ticks `` or double quotes " rather than single quotes?
I am seeing the exact same thing on a fresh install Ubuntu 18.04… did you get anywhere with this. Server has been up a day and the syslog is already at 800MB! 
Another thing I noticed is that I do not get any BW information on the dashboard… could this be related?

when I run the script by itself is working. so QB somehow has a wrong setting
Yes, my CPU load is consistently high and no other applications running. htop shows php-fpm /usr/local/bin/qb-poll_netstats and influxd consumed most of cpu resource.
I do not have special characters in username or password, but do have use " \" at the end of my install command line.
Now I disabled syslog, CPU load still high…
I have reverted to the old dashboard with the less fancy graphs for now, that has resolved the endless syslog and high cpu usage…
Would be nice to get it fixed however as the new graphs are a lot nicer!

This has been resolved as of v2.1.3 and even more efficiency updates to the dashboard within v2.1.4. We’ve improved the systemd services to not pull in additional reports that aren’t needed.
