Anyone gotten Midnight Commander to work

Hi.

Have anyone gotten Midnight Commander to work in this grate system? I really cant live without MC.

I never use it but I decided to install it…it works for me.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mc

I see that it works if i login with a user. I only tried as root.

i can confirm midnight commander works on quickbox with Debian 8 and ubuntu server 16.04 no issues, i was under the impression that midnight commander worked with most linux distro’s

Any idea why mc is not working when logged in as root? Ubuntu 16.04.5.

create and add a user to the sudo group and it should work with that user.
